TJ, Since it is only present on 80 meters, I suspect it is not really coming from the K2 (But I could be proven wrong). Try listening when the K2 is connected to a dummy load. If the "scratchiness" is still present, blame it on the K2 (and we can help track it down). But if it is only present when the antenna is connected, you will have to figure out which of your neighbors (or your own household) is creating the RF interference.
