The low-gain setting will "work" with the Heil mic elements, but you will have to run your mic gain control up to about max, unless you typically scream into the microphone. As Tom says, either will work, but the HI setting works better.
In addition, if you intend to use VOX, the LO setting will not provide sufficient audio to operate the VOX effectively, in my experience. YMMV.
