Dean, The K3 is permanently wired for the Elecraft mic configuration, so you must either create an adapter or rewire your microphones for the Elecraft pinout. If you choose to rewire the microphones, you will have to change your K2 as well if you wish to use the same mic on both.
After answering many questions about how to set the K2 microphone configuration header for a wide variety of mics, I for one am glad that the K3 does not have a configurable mic pinout.
