Merv, I noticed some of the "raspy" or "buzzy" quality you heard, but for me it was not on all signals. I have also noted that quality on signals for the past week or so; perhaps it is atmospheric.
For the first time, I turned on the K3's ATT and found that I was even better able to separate callers, particularly when trying to pick out relatively weaker EU signals from stronger NA signals responding to my CQ. This, of course, was all going on in the midst of many strong signals spaced very close together.
