Well I got up at 3:00am and got it calibrated, and after hooking up an antenna, can't seem to get away from the receiver.
I don't understand all the talk of the receiver being noisy. This thing is quiet. CW receive is excellent. Maybe some ops don't understand how to use the pre/att/rf gain, because this receiver is quiet. The AGC may need some adjusting, but for CW I have always turned it off on the Ten-Tecs, so I am used to riding the RF gain, which is pretty easy, and gives the best results for me.
