I recently tried ear defenders used together with earbuds but I didn't like them, uncomfortable and too fiddly.
Considered a Dave Clark headset, but too expensive and seemed to start a whole new thread about best headset...for Pilots! I ordered and have just received direct from USA the Extreme Isolation EX-29 headphones and have to say I'm very pleased with them.
