Considering all the strange looking panels Kenwood has designed recently, that radio is definately aimed as competition to the K3. So Kenwood can make a plain looking black box, but will it perform? :>)
If they use down conversion with a low first IF, and leave space for a few roofing filters, it could be a good radio. Where I bet they screw up, will be no IF out or sub-receiver option. That will be available in the new $8000 Kenwood. Very interesting. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Re-K3-and-competition-tp4574841p4575835.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
