Flex/PowerSDR has long had a feature called "Zero Beat – RIT". When "on", pressing the "0 Beat" button (like CWT) moves the RIT, not the tx frequency. I once saw an allusion to it in the context of contesting, where the op keeps tx fixed on a run freq, but wants to retain the 0 beat option for callers in some cases.
