Hello, This weekend we are having a peek at Spring in Eastern PA. The wx is to be sunny and around 50'F. Saturday it will be 10 years of going out on the Appalachian Trail every month with my QRP radio. I know there is the major SSB DX Contest this weekend so the CW sections should not be too crowded.
Not sure where the 10 years went but I did have a lot of fun. I had a chance to meet new people and make a lot of friends. I am planning to be on the air around 16:00 UTC with my Elecraft K1 @ 5 watts and a portable vertical. Not sure where I will be due to the large amount of snow in the mountain top parking lots but I will be out on the Appalachian Trail in PA. I will start out on 21.060 to see if I can work across the Atlantic. Propagation will be the dictate what bands I will be on but you can find me at the usual QRP watering holes. 21.060 / 14.060 / 10.116 / 7.030 or 7.040 If you work me on the air please spot me on the list or DX Cluster. I am not sure if I will continue my adventure on the AT for another 10 years. A fellow QRP'er asked me, did I ever calculate the time driving, time hiking, time setting up the station, operating time and doing everything in reverse until I got back home. Lot of time wrapped up in 120 months and 120 plus outings of operation on the AT. 72 and Thanks, Ron Polityka WB3AAL www.wb3aal.com www.n3epa.org/ K1 - SN 01011 K2 - SN 01392 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
