I just finished my K3, at least to the point of doing the pre 100W PA alignments: Synth cal, filter set-up, ref osc & tx gain cals are all done.
I did the filter set-up via the K3 menu, then verified with the K3 utility program. I have the standard 2.8 kHz and the 8-pole 400 Hz filters. The problem I have is when adjusting the bandwidth to the point where the 400 Hz filter comes in - as soon as that happens, the receiver seems to go dead. Whoever I was listening to disappears and background noise goes waaay down...almost silent. I've dialed in both 1 and 8 dB gain for the 400 Hz filter but niether has any effect. Any suggestions?
