Marinus, I have the same Shurr Profi paddle and changed the 3.5mm jack as one side didn't work intermittently when used with a headphone adapter. As the paddle always seemed to let me down when I needed it most, I fitted a proper 1/4" (6mm) stereo jack on the end of the paddle lead and it's worked fine ever since. Whether the problem was the jack plug on the paddle or the adapter I really can't say, except the paddle always seemed to work when plugged into my K2... I have another paddle (Palm mini paddle) with a 3.5mm jack that I use with my K1, K2 and TS-480.
