The slots/ports on laptops seem to be an ever changing thing, but has anyone tried to use something like these to avoid the USB converter?

I suspect that card slots are disappearing off laptops these days too. However one might with a little searching find a laptop either new or used with such a port . I know that Apple and HP are currently selling laptops with express card slots. Both can run windows.
