I went through the trouble shooting list here in the back of the manual and found my VCO output (pin 3 of U3) to fluctuate between .08-1.33v. Also, the BFO output (pin 6 of U11) shows .136-.2v. Both measurements were done with a DMM and the probe kit.
Any ideas? With Alignment II my PLL Reference high freq is 12003.17 and the low freq is 11990.48, range = 12.69. The BFO freqs are: high=4916.87, low=4912.16, range=2.71. Another quick question about adjusting C22 using another radio - I turned C22 both directions and found it would peak the sidetone frequency/intensity heard on the radio at one point and either direction beyond that the tone and volume dropped off. I went counter clockwise, using headphones, until I couldn't hear any tone and bounced between LSB and USB to make sure I couldn't hear anything (low freq rumble) in either mode. Did I do this correctly?
