I got similar results into a "high" swr. If I try 100w into a 1.6:1 swr 6m antenna i get high current alarms and it shuts down at 92W. At 88W it is Ok and doesnt alarm. I took the cushcraft 5ele down (after 5 years) and re swr'd it to 1:1 and now I can run 100W without issue
Normally i dont run into this issue as the kpa100 is bypassed on 6m as my solidstate pa only needs 5w for 450w output Dave ww2r >> Getting ready for the contest.
