Also check your VOX level in the menu. It needs to be turned up very high when using it for digital modes. You are correct to use DataA for PSK and other audio based digital modes. AFSK can be used for RTTY and gives you the advantage of using the dual peak filters. Other than that there's no difference between AFSK and DataA.
