You should take a look at N4YG keyer. I have two, for a K3 and a K2 and they work great, both from the keyboard and from paddles. I think from the paddles, this keyer will do what you want. I don't use the radio internal keyers at all. Both radios work just great. I think the keyer options in the N4YG set up menu will do what you want.
