Tom, You must have missed the answer to that question that I posted 3 days ago. I am repeating it here FYI.
"The P3 can indeed be used with the K2, but the K2 needs a buffer amplifier to isolate the IF output. Take a look at Jack Smith's Z10000B buffer amp at http://www.cliftonlaboratories.com/current_products.htm.
