Found the problem: Seems the "key out" line to the linear was causing it..... Don't use the linear anyway so I just unplugged that line. Thanks for the help. As a note, the "radio room" is upstairs so I do not use a ground since it causes all kinds of ugly things to happen with tuning. From up here the nearest dirt is about 25 to 30 feet away.
