in the past, you have always considered Steve Eppley to be authoritative. What do you think about the fact that he promotes Ranked Pairs at his web pages? What do you think about his arguments for Ranked Pairs against the beat path method?
I reply:
Steve Eppley advocates Ranked-Pairs(wv). What makes you think that I oppose that? Some 1996 posting about "Tideman's method"?
In more recent postings, I've said that I like RP.
And, during the time when RP vs BeatpathWinner was being fiercely debated, I kept saying that those 2 methods, provided that they use wv, have no significant difference in merit. That's been my position for years.
It seems to me that the choice of which of those 2 methods to propose, RP or BeatpathWinner/CSSD, should be based entirely on which is more winnable with your audience. I've been saying that for years too.
Therefore, I'd propose RP as a public proposal, due to its briefer definition. And I'd offer BeatpathWinner to organizations & committees, due to its elegantly simple & brief algorithm & computer program.

What do you think about the fact that although he uses a similar strategy concept he promotes a different method than you do?
I reply:
He doesn't promote a different method than I do. I promote BeatpathWinner/CSSD & RP. BeatpathWinner/CSSD to organizations & committees, and RP for public proposals.
