Jesse Ventura closed the mansion and laid off its staff Tuesday, saying state legislators left him with no choice after cutting his office and security budgets earlier this year. *** The tempest over the building began in February when legislators enacted a budget over Ventura's veto that cut $1.3 million from the $9.3 million budget for the governor's office.
