Electric 8.10 I would enable and disable fat wiring simply by using
the "space" key. This no longer works in 8.11. I see that fat wiring
is enabled by default.

In 8.11 you can disable "fat wiring mode" in the "Arc Preferences" by
unchecking "Draw arcs as wide as their connecting nodes".
