Hi all,
Suppose I have a schematic design using cells from mocmos. Now I want
to replace every cell from my mocmos library to redGeneric180
library. how can I do that?
There are a number of ways to do this.
(1) Use the "Change" command for every different cell, requesting
that it change all instances in the library. This can be a lot of
work if there are many different cells to change.
(2) Use the "Silicon Compiler". This may or may not work, depending
on the circuit. It takes your schematic, converts it to VHDL,
compiles that to a netlist, and then uses the netlist to
place-and-route cells from a standard cell library (redGeneric180 in
your case). It may be hard to convince the silicon compiler that
your redGeneric180 library is actually the standard cell library.
(3) Hand-edit the JELIB file. This may be easiest, but is trickiest
to do. It will work best if the ports on the cells match. It will
cause error where wires connect to the cells and no longer
do. Electric can clean it up to some extent, but you may have to
hand-edit a bit.
