The current version of Gputils in Fedora has a major issue with extended instruction set processors. This has been resolved in Gputils-1.2.0. Gputils-1.2.0 has been build for F17 and higher and is currently in testing. When these packages either get enough karma or the testing wait period expire, I plan to push them into the distributions.
