I happen to have XP-Pro with SP2 installed. No problems. On a dial-
up connection Yahoo craps if you try to view the vid rather than
download the vid and view from your hard drive. SP2 automatically
turns on XP's firewall. You shouldn't run 2 firewall programs at the
same time. There are several freeware antiviral progs around, AVG
and Avast are a couple. http://www.blackviper.com/index.html has a
downloadable PDF file that explains how to do the settings in XP
(Services). You have to have administrative rights to make the
changes. IMHO XP's firewall is crap, download the free version of
Zone Alarm (or you can buy the Pro version) and use it. Never been
hacked and have used ZAP for years. Get a copy of SpywareBlaster and
Spybot Search&Destroy(both free and available through
MajorGeeks.com) get rid of any installed spyware. AIM installs
spyware, when I installed it SpywareGuard popped up warning me. The
spyware from AIM can be removed without causing any problems with
the program.
