Well, Terminal might be an exception due to https://blueprints.launchpad.net/pantheon-terminal/+spec/background-execution It also has to do with https://blueprints.launchpad.net/granite/+spec/tabbar I think we could leave the tab be and allow it to be recalled from the "Closed tabs" menu. But in this case we'll have to provide a separate mechanism for killing the tab. Or, we could pop up a dialog and ask if the tab should be killed or not, a mockup of this can be found at http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1325976137.png
