Hey guys, I've caught a random wifi to check email, and got a notification from Martin Pitt that a memleak I discovered should be fixed now. Memory consumption should be cut roughly by an order of magnitude. So please nuke your copy of lp:apport and branch it again (long story short, simply pulling results in conficts), then re-build the code according to the doc linked earlier in this thread.
Just FYI, apport-retrace still reads compressed core dump into memory; in theory it should not result in memory usage issues, but if it does, file a bug against apport and/or notify me. -- Sergey "Shnatsel" Davidoff OS architect @ elementary
