I'm not really sure what problem it intends to solve because the vast majority of hardware I've encountered works out of the box, and a decent chunk of hardware that doesn't is covered by Jockey. Also, when it comes to hardware support we'll probably follow Ubuntu as closely as possible, since we don't have the resources or infrastructure to implement or test hardware support changes. -- Sergey "Shnatsel" Davidoff OS architect @ elementary
