However, when in list mode, both the file name and extension are highlighted. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Nautilus 2. Set the view to icon view 3. Select a file 4. Press F2 5. The file name is highlighted but not the dot or extension 6. Press ESC to cancel renaming 7. Set the view to list view 8. Select the same file as in step 3 9. Press F2 Actual behaviour: The full file name, including the dot and extension is highlighted. Expected behaviour: Only the file name stem should be highlighted, as in step 5.
