Seems like a bunch of people across every file manager wants this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171366
So whose going to be the first to implement it; I'll have to go with them (it's THAT important of a feature for me). In the meantime midnight commander will take some getting used to but since it has a hierarchical bookmark system (hotlist) I'm trying it :-) Hope suggesting MC helps others out until this gets worked out in another GUI file manager. And on the lines of helping others out "Worker" file manager has hierarchical hotlist also: http://www.boomerangsworld.de/worker/ ** Bug watch added: KDE Bug Tracking System #171366 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171366 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of elementary desktop team, which is the registrant for nautilus- elementary. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/779747 Title: Save/Bookmark Multiple Opened tabs Status in nautilus-elementary: New Bug description: The usefulness of multiple tabbed browsing would greatly be enhanced if it allowed bookmarking current Sessions inside the Nautilus window, now that Gnome no longer supports Save Session, this would be a great solution for the File Manager to handle instead. If you were able to store the tabbed locations and then access them from the bookmarks menu (like a history or even a recent used locations list) with group/folder support to open multiple places in your window all at once, we could perhaps make it optional to open stored locations in multiple windows, but this isn't as desired for my own uses. First thing I do in ANY Linux is install elementary tools, they are so clean and simple, just need a little more time spent on adding features like this one and it'll be perfect. Good luck.
