You must change the plugin key, something like
apps.marlin.plugins.openterminal.default-terminal.

  Open Terminal doesn't use default DE app

  Triaged

Bug description:
  Open Terminal extension should call /usr/bin/x-terminal-emulator instead of 
gnome-terminal.
  Especially useful since we will have a custom terminal emulator.
