Since marlin is not only written for eos (well, we are using it on
ubuntu right now), it icon will stays a marlin ATM to avoid confusion
with nautilus. It will be a downstream patch to change the .desktop file
(that's the goal of quilt patches I suppose).

Title:
Decide how users are to interact with Marlin

Status in elementary Icons:
  New
Status in Marlin:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  From the #elementary logs:

shnatsel: cassidyjames: people never know that Nautilus is Nautilus, and they
never should. And they see a folder icon instead of the fancy Nautilus logo.
shnatsel: cassidyjames: the same should be with marlin.
cassidyjames: shnatsel: Ah. Is there a bug for that? :P
cassidyjames: shnatsel: Though the items still make sense (new window, new
tab, new window as root).
shnatsel: cassidyjames: I guess no, because we haven't decided how exactly
marlin will be opened
  cassidyjames: shnatsel: Hm.
shnatsel: but we have to decide that
  cassidyjames: Fair enough.
shnatsel: there's a question about it in the website
cassidyjames: Personally, I think it there are really two ways of looking at
it, both valid.
cassidyjames: First, that it *does* make sense to just let Marlin be an app,
and then not have any other way of directly opening it. This aligns well with
the "everything's an app" approach, popularized by mobile platforms ("Settings"
is an app in both iOS and Android) and somewhat adopted by elementary
("Switchboard" is the settings app).
cassidyjames: Second, that the user shouldn't need to know that they get to
their files through an app, so we have a way to get at files that opens the
default file manager (in our case, Marlin).
cassidyjames: Both approaches can be considered valid. I'll bring it up at
the meeting tomorrow. :D

We should decide between the two approaches:
1.) Users interact with Marlin as an app to get to their files. or
2.) Users interact with their files, and don't care (or know) that it's
Marlin doing the work.
