Breadcrumbs do not work on remote locations

Bug description:
On remote Locations the breadcrumbs won't work and instead only
display the "Folder does not exist" message even though the folder can
be accessed fine, I guess it's some kind of conflict with remote
filesystems.
I tried over SSH, so it might be different with FTP or HTTPS
