spacing in search bar is inconsistent

Bug description:
The spacing in the search bar is very inconsistent.
The horizontal spacing from the edge of the searchbox is not the same
as the vertical spacing.
The horizontal spacing between the magnifying glass and the edge of
the box is much less than the spacing between the clear icon and the
edge of the box.
the vertical spacing between the clear icon and the edge of the box is
not center. and the horizontal spacing is much greater than the
vertical spacing.
