Nice descriptions, Dan. Thanks for including me in the conversation, guys. It's a treat. Inertial Scrolling is the one feature of those mentioned that I remember enjoying in Fedora 15, just before I deleted that installation to make room for elementary. I'm embarrassed to admit that it's quite possible that I simply imagined the whole thing! But, I'm almost positive that Fedora 15 was the first distro (outside of iOS) that allowed me to enjoy Inertial Scrolling on a non-Apple laptop.
Thanks for looking into it, gang. Loving Jupiter, and excited for Luna. I'd love to see iOS style feature scrolling implemented in the next iteration of elementary. Fedora's latest release (using Gnome 3) employs it distro-wide (if I remember correctly). It's a real workflow improver. I'm currently using "Grab and Drag" as a Firefox add-on, but would love to enjoy this functionality in Abiword, Marlin, and elsewhere.
