Nice descriptions, Dan. Thanks for including me in the conversation, guys.
It's a treat.
Inertial Scrolling is the one feature of those mentioned that I remember
enjoying in Fedora 15, just before I deleted that installation to make room for
elementary. I'm embarrassed to admit that it's quite possible that I simply
imagined the whole thing! But, I'm almost positive that Fedora 15 was the
first distro (outside of iOS) that allowed me to enjoy Inertial Scrolling on a
non-Apple laptop.

Thanks for looking into it, gang. Loving Jupiter, and excited for Luna.
Take care, Ken (elementaryBen)

Hope this is the right place to submit a feature request, guys. I'd
love to see iOS style feature scrolling implemented in the next
iteration of elementary. Fedora's latest release (using Gnome 3)
employs it distro-wide (if I remember correctly). It's a real
workflow improver. I'm currently using "Grab and Drag" as a Firefox
add-on, but would love to enjoy this functionality in Abiword, Marlin,
and elsewhere. Thanks for your consideration, creativity, and hard
  work. :)
