What linux distribution are you using? My SBCL/Linux setup worked
both with and without the
-ldb-4.5 option. I think I, or someone else, put that in because it
was causing problems on some other linux build.

Yes, that fixed the problem. I also verified that this change doesn't
break SBCL by removing all the fasl and so files and rerun the bdb
test.
I don't remember why this was put in and am not a
regular user of linux.
