The LUMC annual Kits for Conference campaign coordinated by the Missions
Team was once again a success. We achieved our goal of 100 Health Kits; the
final number was actually 105 Health Kits. This achievement was possible
once again due to the generosity of our church members and members of our
local community. We received a record 50 completed Kits, before we even
started to put the supplies together Monday night; this certainly made our
job go quickly. The donations from our Sunday school classes were greatly
appreciated, the children and their leaders did a wonderful job collecting
for this project as well as putting the Kits together for us. Their
donation of 30 Health Kits made it possible for us to achieve our goal this
year. In our local community Gray's Pharmacy assisted in the purchasing of
essential items and helped us stretch our limited budget further than we
initially anticipated. I would also like to thank the Missions Team for once
again orchestrating a successful campaign.

I would also like to thank those members who generously provided us with
financial support. Your donations helped us purchase those items needed to
complete our kits, as well as providing us the ability to send money to
Annual Conference. This money was for both the purchase of toothpaste as
well as covering shipping expenses. When we look at the actual value
placed on each kit we were able to donate almost $1500.00 of gifts to the
Annual Conference Kits for Conference initiative.

THANK YOU LUMC for your generosity and support of this latest initiative
coordinated by the LUMC Missions Team.
