<http://list.gmane.org/[email protected]> currently
redirects to <http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.links>, and
gmane.comp.web.links by NNTP shows the messages.

This is confusing because the mailing list is actually used by
developers of the ELinks variant rather than the original Links.
It would be better to call the group gmane.comp.web.elinks.devel,
like there already is gmane.comp.web.elinks.user. A similar name
gmane.comp.web.elinks.dev was suggested when the list was renamed:

http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.links/1476

but I believe .devel is more consistent with the rest of Gmane,
at least according to <http://gmane.org/faq.php>.

Actually, <http://dir.gmane.org/index.php?prefix=gmane.comp.web>
already shows a "gmane.comp.web.elinks" group, and the articles
at <http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.elinks> are from elinks-dev.
However, <nntp://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.elinks> gives a
"411 No such group" error, and anyway I think it would be better
to have the .devel suffix.

Can you rename the group to gmane.comp.web.elinks.devel and make
the other names gmane.comp.web.links and gmane.comp.web.elinks
redirect to that?

Also, <http://gmane.org/info.php?group=gmane.comp.web.links>
currently shows the list as being handled by LISTAR. It was
switched over to Mailman back in 2003 as announced here:
<http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.links/1683>
I don't know if that discrepancy causes any problems, though.
