I'll try a few more wild guesses. What architecture are you using? I've tried 0.10.2-2 on i386. Given ELinks' limited use of external libraries, I don't see much else that would cause our systems to differ. I have these libraries installed: libbz2-1.0 1.0.2-1 libc6 2.3.2.ds1-19 libexpat1 1.95.8-1 libgcrypt11 1.2.0-10 libgnutls11 1.0.16-12 libgnutls11 1.0.16-12 libgpg-error0 1.0-1 libgpmg1 1.19.6-19 libidn11 0.5.2-2 liblua50 5.0.2-5 libncurses5 5.4-4 libtasn1-2 0.2.10-4 zlib1g 1.2.1.1-3 I can imagine libc6 or Lua making a difference, altho that is doubtful. I might try updating them. I need to update anyway... I tried testing with this: 'env -i /usr/bin/elinks -no-home -config-file dummy'. Works fine for me. The md5sum of /usr/bin/elinks is: e66ba19b59e685a597e291d91ed0bb0d. If you open the Header dialogue (View -> Header info or the | key) after loading a Web page, does it show normal HTTP headers? If you open the Document info box (View -> Document info or the = key), does it show a non-zero size for the document? What if you select a different character set under Setup -> Character set? Andrew Robinson mentioned that saving a document resulted in an empty file. Is this the case for you with both File -> Save as and File -> Save formatted document? What about File -> Save URL as? What about running elinks -source? Thanks for your patience and your debugging, -- Miciah Masters <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> / <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ elinks-users mailing list [email protected] http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/elinks-users
