I didn't know about the F10 menu -- all downhill from here. Many, many thanks.

With lynx I could save any file by simply hitting "p". I was given 4 options: print, mail file, save to local file and something else I don't remember. With elinks I cannot figure out how to save the whole file (for ex. if I went to a page that with lynx scrolled down from 3 to 50 pages, the whole file was saved). The "download" option in elinks only saves the single page on the screen.
If I understand your problem right, the option you looking for is "save as". Press "F10" (or click at the top bar) to bring the menu bar in front then press "f" to pull down the "File" menu and then press "v" to selecte the option "save as" (of course you could also clidk or hit the return key at the right places.)

Thanks very much,
