This is of course a bug. Running ELinks with the --remote screen
shouldn't need to touch the screen at all, but I didn't bother to fix
this when I was working on it.
Also, if you want to change the URL of the current tab you should use:
elinks --remote "openURL($url)"
And ensure that $url is properly escaped.
