Debian Etch i386, Elinks 0.11.1 --

I was wondering if there has been any progress toward a problem about
which I asked a couple of years ago: ghost text. That is, on some
webpages, parts of the rendered text will persist when scrolling up or
down the page, repeating in rows. It may go away as more text is
scrolled past which forces a repaint on the screen, but otherwise
persists across all open tabs.

By no means do I regard this as a show-stopper; I still recommend
Elinks in my technology articles. However, I wonder if there is any way
to get this behavior to stop. It's been a problem on several Linux
distros, less so in FreeBSD. Wherever it appears on Konsole or Xterm,
it also shows up on the bare console (which I use quite a bit).
