I believe the "Getting Started" under the "Participate" part of the Elisa website (http://elisa.fluendo.com/participate/) would be sufficient. I think the weather-plugin (http://elisa.fluendo.com/documentation/tutorials/weather_plugin_tutorial.html) is a good start.
