To understand the issues you are experiencing we need to know which
version of Elisa you are running and on which Windows (XP, Vista?).

This may very well be https://bugs.launchpad.net/elisa/+bug/287023, for
which a patch is pending, and should be fixed in the next release
(0.5.16, next Monday).

Well "normal" users will prefer to install a codec pack rather than each
filter manually (you know, these users who don't have a clue what a
codec is anyway). Our tests are mostly done with KLite, and for this
reason that is the codec pack we recommend, however I'm sure our Windows
experts will be interested in investigating this issue, if they can
reproduce it.

Thanks for your feedback. If you spot other issues while using Elisa,
you can file bug reports at https://bugs.launchpad.net/elisa/+filebug.
