Hi; I filled a bug (with a patch) to use custom thumbnails for folders: https://bugs.launchpad.net/elisa/+bug/293406
I haven't got many responses, so I hope a picture (or two) are better than a thousand words; this is how a directory with only folders looks right now in Elisa: http://xochitl.matem.unam.mx/~canek/elisa-folders-without-patch.png This is how it looks with my patch (and some .folder.jpg or .folder.png files in each directory): http://xochitl.matem.unam.mx/~canek/elisa-folders-with-patch.png I hope the difference is pretty obvious ;) The patch is trivial (11 lines), it affects only one file (elisa/plugins/poblesec/filesystem.py), it's user configurable (the user can change the name from .folder.jpg or .folder.png to whatever he or she wants), and if the user doesn't do anything, Elisa works exactly as if it didn't had the patch. The patch is attached to the bug report, if anyone wants to try it. -- Canek Peláez Valdés Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM
