Hi; I would like to announce the availability of an F-Spot plugin for Elisa, the free media player.
The little plugin can access the F-Spot database and display the photos and information in there. Each F-Spot tag works as a «folder», and there is a special «folder» for untagged photos. If a photo has a comment in F-Spot, the plugin uses it as the title of the photo; otherwise it uses the file name. The plugin can also access the EXIF metadata to get the correct orientation of each photo, working around bug 233010 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/elisa/+bug/233010). You can go to http://xochitl.matem.unam.mx/~canek/elisa/ to see pretty pictures of the plugin in action, and instructions to download and install it; beware, it doesn't work as a simple EGG file that you put in ~/.elisa-0.5/plugins (yet).
