Nice work Thijs! I've had a quick look and it seems to work fine on my ubuntu intrepid. After a functional validation on supported platforms, we could publish it in our plugin repository, if you're ok with that.
With the growing number of plugins that integrate external media sources we'll definitely need to group them for a more natural access (e.g. a webradios entry). Could you please register the project in the elisa-universe meta-project (https://launchpad.net/elisa-universe)? It will give the plugin more visibility.
