If is_struct is implemented with head/clause splitting it will either lead
to code duplication or you would have to move the code to a separate
function that will mess with stacktraces, I wouldn't be surprised if it had
other unintended consequences also.

We don't do this kind of code shuffling anywhere else in the language afaik
so I don't think it's worth it to just to add is_struct.
