Hi folks, I was wondering if building a somewhat fancier UI for the package manager might be something that I could do as a medium sized project. The think that really excites me about elm is the great experience for new developers, so I'm wondering if we could do something to really help them when it comes to finding packages.
To explore this idea, I've written up a design brief with what I think the requirements for such a system might be. Design Brief (google doc) <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HdyrWzGrqcYY6YJMHBX4d0AJOHS7pfpOPPXIzpfbs7g/edit?usp=sharing> I know there's a lot going on here right now, so if now isn't the right time to explore this idea (or if someone else is already doing it) that's fine. However, if there is interest, it'd be good to get broad feedback on the brief before doing anything. I've listed lots of numbered requirements. Please highlight ones you have an opinion on, and add a comment. I have a sentence at the bottom you can highlight and add requirements you think I've missed. Depending on what requirements we end up with once comments come in, I'm probably volunteering to build it, particularly if this is just a front end UI to existing data.
