Figured it out.
Added
"elm-lang/core": "4.0.3 <= v < 5.0.0",
to my elm-package.json.
I had to reinstall all the packages and also do
rm -rf elm-stuff/build-artifacts
because without deleting the artifacts everything was broken. :)
