Hello World! (I originally posted this to elm-dev as a response to the original elm-playground thread -- moved here by request of evan)
I have done some work which iterates on the ideas presented by elm-playground, similar libraries, and comments in that thread <https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/elm-dev/eNnOV502htQ> (especially those of janis). The library can be found here <https://github.com/john-kelly/elm-graphics-app>. My library is a thin layer above elm-graphics to make learning the elm architecture an iterative/incremental experience (idea of incremental exposure influenced by graphicsvg <https://github.com/MacCASOutreach/graphicsvg/> and beginnerProgram vs program). The library presents 4 stages of progression: 1. Drawing: draw elements 2. Animation: draw with time (influenced and in direct response to a comment by janis in previous thread) 3. Simulation: draw with time and model 4. Interaction: draw with time and msgs I'm still in the discussion phase of this thing, but I think it is ready for more eyes. I have by no means finalized the naming of *anything *(including the name of the library! open to ideas!) so please feel free to spin up a conversation. As a side note, I intend on using this library for a course that I am in the process of making -- target audience is probably highschool. another link to library <https://github.com/john-kelly/elm-graphics-app> Thanks! P.S I'll be at the SF meetup Wednesday Jan. 10 2017 -- I'd love to chat. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Elm Discuss" group.
